Ed Nesteruk presents his Monolith Sculpture to Arthur C. Clarke
This unique sculpture was created by renowned glass sculptor Ed Nesteruk.
Inspiration for the work, executed in black optical glass and bronze,
came from a conversation between the artist and Arthur C. Clarke in 1983.
The completed work was presented to Clarke on the occasion of the opening of the film 2010,
where the picture of the two men was taken
(above left - you can just make out the 2010 pin on Arthur's lapel!).
